History of Gurudwara Bangla Sahib

Gurudwara Bangla Sahib is related to 8th Guru Harkishan Sahib Ji . In sammat 1721 Bikrami (1664 A.D.) when Aurangzeb called Guru Harkishan Sahib Ji to Delhi Guru Ji agree on Insistence of Mirza Raza Jao Singh of Amber (Jaipur) and Sikh Sangat  Congregation This was bungalow of Raja Jai Singh to test the gurship of "child guru" chef queen of Raja Jai Singh dressed herself as a servant and sat amongst them. Guru ji who was 8 year old that time immediately recognize the chef queen and sat on her leap.

At that time Delhi was in the most of the severe onslaught cholera and small pox.which was killing scores of people everyday. When the  people of Delhi narrated their woes to Guru. The Latter with a grace of God turned water of pond into nectar by dipping his feet into it there by curing the people.Hence millions of people cured with deadly pandemic.Even today Sikh sangat comprising of all sects,religion and cast come from far and near take a dip of sarowar and reciting "sri har Krishan dhiyaye just dithe sab dulh jaye" . People after partaking of amrit they cured all physical and mental ailments.

Gurudwara Sahib

 What is gurdwara ?

A gurdwara is a place of assembly and worship for Sikhs. Sikhs also refer to gurdwaras as Gurdwara Sahib. People from all faiths are welcomed in gurdwaras. Each gurdwara has a Darbar Sahib where the current and everlasting guru of the Sikhs, the scripture Guru Granth Sahib, is placed on a takhat  in a prominent central position. The raagis recite, sing, and explain the verses from the Guru Granth Sahib, in the presence of the congregation.


All gurdwaras have a langar hall, where people can eat free vegetarian food served by volunteers at the gurdwara.They may also have a medical facility room, library, nursery, classroom, meeting rooms, playground, sports ground, a gift shop, and finally a repair shop. gurdwara can be identified from a distance by tall flagpoles bearing the Nishan Sahib, the Sikh flag.

Daily Routine Of Gurudwara Sahib

Parkash Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji at 3:00 am
Nitnem 3:15 am 
Sukhmani Sahib 4:30 am
Asa ki vaar 6:00 am
8:00am Anand sahib 6 pauri , Ardas and hukamna

Evening
Rehras Sahib,Aarti ,shabad kirtan and sukhasan sewa between 6:330pm to 8:30pm 

Note- Timings are change as per change in season

Note-Im historic Gurudwaras kirtan will be held for 18-19 hours
